Venus

In the flap of the crow’s sleek wing,

In the drip of the ink from the nib,

In the shadow cast by the moon,

In the laughter heard in the night,

In the splash of the leaping fish,

In the dance of the marionette,

In the toll of the distant bell,

In the kiss of the wind on the trees,

In the scarlet of sultry lips,

In the purr of the stretching cat,

In the world, in all the world,

Yet not.
